Behavioural Health Foundation acknowledges that wholistic programming must include traditional practices and ceremonies. While member participation is voluntary, Indigenous traditional programming is an integral part of the BHF treatment programs, encouraging and supporting individuals and families. This programming component is carried out through our Indigenous services program at the Northwinds lodge. The Northwinds lodge is a vital part of outreach and after care. Former program members are encouraged to stay connected with staff at the Northwinds lodge and are welcome to come and take part in ceremonies and events held on the sacred grounds. The Northwinds Lodge not only provides services for program members of the Addiction Treatment Services Program and Breezy Point Women’s Program of the Behavioural Health Foundation, but also to groups or individuals from the community wanting to take part.
